A Public Apology.

I wanted to send out a huge public apology... in the recent weeks so many exciting things have been happening for me, and I have reached a point where I have become overwhelmed by it all, and somewhat struggling to give each and all my undivided attention and devotion. My integrity is very important to me, and wherever possible I will not commit to things I cannot give myself 100%. But sometimes things come along that are just too good to pass up on. As a result I might have disapointed some people, and I have made promises I did not keep.

I am truly sorry.

Now I am not going to dwell over it anymore. I have said what I wanted to say and now it is time to move on. I know it all comes down to better time management and improved organisation. Instead of being overwhelmed, I am going to make a list -and share it publicly- of all the things I need to do. Then I will do them, one by one, and tick them of as each item is finished.

+ Create CT layout for Kim Hill
+ Create CT layout for IOD
+ Create CT layout(s) for Corina Nielsen: Foxxy
+ Create layout for Jen Wilson Meaning Contest: week 5, week 6, week 7, week 8
+ Write tutorial on distorted photo shadow
+ Finish off new elements for the store
+ Finish off 2 new kits
+ Create Dec layout for DAM

+ Start designing nancycomelab.com website
+ Clean house thoroughly room by room: Bedroom, Bathroom 1, Bathroom 2, Kitchen, Living Room, Study 1, Study 2

There. By doing this I have accomplished two things: I have written down my goals (and therefor have made myself accountable for producing the results) and I am able to move on and really focus on what has to be done (instead of sitting around moping about "all the things I have to do!")

Cheers,

Wild, Wild Weather.

"Near-freezing temperatures greeted Victorians all across the state as an antarctic blast put spring on ice." source: theage.com.au

Brrr... Over the last two days, we've been clocking temperatures of 7 to 8 degrees Celcius (44 and 46 resp. Fahrenheit) here in Melbourne, coupled with snow and hail storms! What's so weird about that, you'd think? Well, we are almost halfway Spring here and have already been sweating with temperatures over 36 C (96 F). In a couple of weeks Summer starts here officially (December 1st) and I am walking around the house wearing a beanie and gloves!!! On top of that my central heating decided to stop working, lol, hence the wintery attire.

On November 14, we had the coldest temperature recorded since 1914 on that same day! Wow!

Thankfully the weather will be heating up a little over the weekend.. can't wait, because even as we speak, my hands are almost too frozen to be typing well. Aw!

Oh, before I forget, I have been caught up in things a little lately, but I'll soon upload that little tutorial I promised some of you a couple of posts ago (lol). I have not forgotten, ladies! :)

Talk soon,

Tooting All The Way From Sydney, Australia.

Ah... relaxing a couple of days in beautiful Sydney, while dear hubby is attending a seminar... what more can a girl want?

Thankfully, one of our friends was so sweet to let me borrow her laptop for the trip! I quickly transferred some of the programs and files I wanted so that I can at lease use this relaxing free time to get some work done and keep up to date! Yes, working in this environment can also be relaxing...

Sydney really is a beautiful city, with its world famous Opera House

and delightful Bondi Beach..

But hey, don't let this distract you from the real reason of this post: I have another TOOT!
Woohoo! I am a new Band Camp member! I am on Corina Nielsen's CT for the whole month of November! Yay!

Here's the first layout I did with her fabulous kit: Return.

Credits: BG paper, flowers and butterfly from Return kit by Corina Nielsen.
Frame from A Warm Blanket and a Cup of Cocoa by ME.
Fonts are downcome, turbo ripped and porcelain.

You should really pick up this stunning kit! The colors are just beautiful and the papers and elements soooo gorgeous! Go get it here!

That's all from me now. I am going to go walk around and explore the ins and outs of Sydney!

Toodles!
Nancy

Are You Ready For Another Rawking Rak?

Say YEAH! Say YEAH!

Well here it is girls: your brand new RAWKING RAK!
I have been busy again creating some really cool jewellery, and I want to give one of my creations away again! Just like that, because I *heart* you all!

All you have to do to get your hands on this gorgeous pink and green necklace, is leave me a comment between now and Sunday night (EST) and, yeah you guessed it, GUESS THE MAGIC NUMBER! Pick one number between 1 and 100 (yes, both are included) and you might just be lucky enough to receive this beauty! Easy right?

This time I will only take into account the guesses you leave on my blog... I found it very hard the last time to go and search all the threads to find out who was the first person to post the Magic Number! In case you are having trouble posting here, let me know in the forums!

:)

My Gift To You.

No, this is not the Rawking Rak that I promised a few days ago (just a few more days for that one!). This is a free gift for you, to celebrate that special something I mentioned yesterday. Though I am not telling you what exactly that special something is (patience is a virtue!) I am SUPER DUPER EXCITED and I want you all to share in my excitement!

You can do that by downloading these cute free Felties and leaving me a sweet little comment .

Okay, so this preview is really not doing these any justice. You really have to download them to see how utterly cute they really are.

You can download them here. Filesize is 17.8 MB.

I hope you enjoy your Felties! As usual, post or send me a link if you use the Felties, and you will get another little suprise!

:)

That is all for now, peeps, enjoy the rest of your day. I am going to have a wonderful romantic Italian Pasta dinner with a nice glass of red chianti to celebrate that.. um.. certain something I am not telling you yet!

My Digital Muse October Layout.

Well, I said I was going to do it and I did it. Nothing like setting yourself a goal and than actually accomplishing it! Gives you a natural high... lol.

So here it is, my layout for the October Photography Challenge at My Digital Muse.

Background papers (blended) from October MDM kit by Holly and Kristy Ann,
available at plaindigitalwrapper.com. Font is bobmono.

I wanted to keep it simple, so I just used two background papers that I blended together to fit my three serene photos nicely. I also used a new trick I learned: did you see how the edges of the photos seem like they are lifted of the background? I think it's pretty neat.

If you want a short walk-through on how I created this, post a comment. And I'll tell you my little secret. :)

That's all for tonight. I am waiting to get some -hopefully good- news from a special somewhere in relation to a special something (lol) before I can make a special anouncement.

Oh, and your rawking RAK is coming soon. Very soon...
